Design Story
Design Story
Mountain Embrace Chair is designed to bring a steadier, more grounded seating experience.
We treated the wide upholstered seat and backrest as one unified form, creating a cleaner visual flow and making the body feel more supported and embraced when seated.
Its structure feels as steady as a mountain ridge, and the comfortable angles are designed to support the lower back more naturally. We wanted it to be more than just a chair — something you can settle into with ease, bringing a stronger sense of calm and composure to the space.

A Larger Armchair Made for Longer Sitting
Wide, stable, and easy to lean into
Integrated Seat and Backrest, a Unified Look
The upholstered seat and backrest are formed as one, creating a more complete silhouette and a cleaner overall look.
Angled Backrest, Better Lower-Back Support
The bent backrest angle is designed to follow the lower back more closely, giving better support when seated.
Oversized Form, More Room to Relax
The generous proportions provide more space, allowing the body to sit more freely and comfortably.
Walnut Mortise-and-Tenon Structure, Stable and Durable
The walnut wood mortise-and-tenon frame improves the chair’s overall strength and long-term durability.
Unified Upholstery, Cleaner Visual Flow
The upholstered seat and backrest are hot-pressed into shape with curved wood, giving the chair a more unified look and reducing the feel of separate sections.
The backrest angle is carefully calibrated to follow the curve of the spine more naturally.
The wide curved upholstery creates a more relaxed sense of wraparound support, with a larger contact area and more even pressure distribution.
Large in Presence, Light in Profile
The armrest and legs are joined as one integrated structure, separate from the backrest.
This gives the upholstered backrest more flexibility and keeps the side view lighter, so the chair does not feel bulky despite its larger size.
It retains the presence you want from a substantial armchair, while keeping the overall look sharp and refined.
The Art of Detailing
Armrest and Rear Leg, Clean Connection
The armrest and rear leg are joined with a minimal mortise-and-tenon connection, creating a natural transition and a cleaner structural line.
Armrest and Front Leg, Simple yet Refined
The same precise connection continues at the front leg, keeping the detail restrained while still refined.
Composite Leather, More Durable
The upholstery uses composite leather for a smooth, fine surface and stronger everyday scratch and wear resistance.
Thicker Solid Wood Support, Stable and Secure
The widened solid wood crossbars form a stable base, and the full mortise-and-tenon structure helps keep the chair steady over time.
Soft Upholstery, Smooth and Upright
The cushioning is full and soft, with a smooth fitted surface that stays neat and upright without looking loose.
A place to settle, relax, and stay a while
An Armchair Made for Long-Term Comfort
