Mulan Chair is inspired by the Eastern spirit represented by “Mulan.”
What makes Mulan moving is not only her grace, but also the strength within that grace and the resolve within that quietness. We wanted the chair to carry the same spirit: using solid wood bending and 3D curves to shape a flowing silhouette, so that structure and posture complete each other.
There is no extra decoration and no forced sharpness. Instead, the chair finds a balance between curve and line, strength and softness. What we wanted to express is not only the complexity of solid wood craftsmanship, but an Eastern sense of beauty that is restrained, balanced, and able to hold both tenderness and strength.

From the circle back to the rear legs, a single piece of wood is bent into shape, and the flowing curves create a complete and elegant form.
The chair does not rely on traditional crossbars for support. Instead, modern joinery and precise structural calculation keep the chair stable without unnecessary elements. This突破 of solid wood craftsmanship gives Mulan Chair a purer structure.
3D Full-Curve Form
Mulan Chair is shaped with a 3D full-curve form, with no straight lines and no flat surfaces across the entire chair.
The lines keep shifting as they flow, and the interplay between soft and firm, solid and empty, creates a richer visual rhythm.
Modern CNC carving combined with hand finishing makes every curve more precise and refined. Through careful control of curve, proportion, and ergonomics, the chair follows the body more naturally and helps distribute pressure more evenly.

Circle-Back Support, Fitting the Spine
The Chinese-style circle-back curve is carefully shaped to follow the spine and provide strong support.
Curved Armrests, Naturally Relaxed
The armrests bend naturally with the line of the arms, allowing them to rest more easily and feel more relaxed.
Structural Transitions, Rich in Detail
The connection between the legs and the seat is refined through CNC carving and hand finishing, creating richer surface transitions and detail layers.
Thicker Seat, Lighter Visual Feel
The 5cm solid wood seat is also fully sculpted on the underside, and the thinned edges keep the visual feel light.
